Quality baby clothes are difficult to find at the best of times. They go through the wash far more often than grown-up clothes and if the fabric isn’t of the highest quality, most baby clothes end up looking tatty after just a few weeks. Add to that the amount of stains and dirt that babies seem to attract and suddenly black baby clothes are looking to be a very attractive offer. You know, the more I think about it, there just aren’t enough black baby clothes in the world.

The baby clothes I feature on this page are only ever cotton or natural fibres - because I’m a bit of an organic/herbal type person as well as a pirate fanatic. If I ever list an item in a polyester or artificial fabric it’s only because the design is just too hip to ignore.

The black pirate onesie above is from Stardust Kids. Nearly all their gear is 100% cotton and I can personally vouch the quality of this particular item. It comes in sizes for babies up to 1 year and has an envelope neck and poppers on the legs. I could wish it came with feet in it, but I usually teamed it up with some red socks and a red bandana and it looked great.

The pink pirate onesie is the same thing but for Pirate Princesses. Of course, it comes in black too, as well as red, green and blue.

This sweet little thing is staying warm with a 100% cotton beanie from Baby Rock Apparel. It comes in sizes from newborn, small and medium and makes a great baby shower or birthday gift.
